Feedback, does it matter if it is delivered in a timely manner?
When one receives 75% of their grade in a class completed for over a week, does the feedback help? If that feedback is not even made available in a "comment" section on the assignment, is there even a chance for improvement or success if one made mistakes on those assignments in the first place?

I feel your pain and frustration. As I read a comment in this situation, I knew I would see the same comment again. I was right, I was very consistent. The lesson I take from this is as a teacher. I have put more pressure on myself to get feedback to students within 24 hours on all assignments. Our goal after all, is to educate.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Feedback is virtually worthless if the opportunity to learn from the effort. It's a very serious measurement, to get feedback to students so that students can trust that any error or mistake can become a positive learning experience. It can often be much harder to do that would seem to be the case on the surface. But it's a case where we need to learn from our difficulties to deliver this reasonable expectation.
